To new patients

Fukuyama Medical Center is a referral-based hospital. Please bring a letter of referral from another medical institution when you visit the hospital.
In accordance with a policy promoted by the national government of “dividing functions among medical institutions,” we collect, apart from treatment fees, additional fees indicated below for first and follow-up examinations of patients who visit the hospital directly without a letter of referral from another hospital or clinic. *Provided, however, that this does not apply to those who are examined without referrals from other medical institutions due to emergency or other unavoidable circumstances, or who are enrolled in a system covering medical care at public expenditure for specified diseases and conditions.

Additional fee for a first-time patient without a referral: 5,500 yen (due at time of first visit from patients who do not bring a letter of referral from another medical institution) Additional fee for follow-up visits without a referral: 2,750 yen (due at time of follow-up visits from patients who continue to visit the hospital despite being referred in writing to another medical institution) *The fees have been revised in line with the consumption tax increase that took effect on October 1, 2019.
