Japan’s society is rapidly aging, and the nation now faces the challenge of assisting its increasing population of elderly citizens who face difficulty with daily activities, such as walking, due to spinal column and spinal cord disorders. To date, we have made considerable progress on diagnosis of spine and joint diseases. In order to promote and develop the rapid and advanced diagnosis and treatment for various kinds of spinal column and spinal cord diseases, and also to facilitate joint reconstruction primarily via artificial joint replacement surgery, we established the Spinal and Artificial Joint Center in our orthopedic surgery in April, 2014.
Our staff also includes pediatric orthopaedic specialists, enabling us to assist a wide variety of patients, from adults to children, to regain functionality in their daily lives and restore quality of life.
